HD Fire Deluge systems are ideally used for the protection of hazardous areas such as the storage and handling of flammable liquids in offshore sites, oil refineries and chemical plants etc. HD Fire deluge skids are available for installations where it is necessary to install the valve skid in vicinity of the area to be protected. These skids are completely pre-assembled units available in several configurations. Instead of providing trims separately, these pre-assembled units come complete with a free standing floor-mounted skid, ready to be connected to the piping system.
The valve skid uses the HD Fire deluge valve, which has been successfully used in industry for more than 15 years. The standard design for all deluge skids is depicted in the picture. Deluge skids can be supplied as open skid units or as closed units in cabinets. The skids include manual release, electrical activation using solenoid valve, hydraulic activation using basic trim, as well as pneumatic activation using dry pilot trim. All of the skids are completely tested, and verified under actual working conditions. The installer simply has to connect the inlet, outlet and drain. This makes the skids very easy and convenient to use.
